UNFORGETTABLE

Hole #11 is a par 5 that measures 491 yards from the white tees. This narrow hole requires precision off the tee. With O.B. right and a dogleg that shapes to the right, accuracy is at a premium. Your second shot however is given more leeway. There is a generous landing area to set up for your approach shot to the green.

TESTER

Hole #5 is 404 yards in length. Most golfers would look at this hole and see that it's straight away and let their guard down after playing the third and fourth holes, which are two of our hardest holes. After you reach the green though you'll see why there are so many bogies made here. The green is very large and undulating and very hard to get down in two on, especially if your are on the wrong side of the hole.

DIRECTIONS

I-5 north or south. Take exit #189 (Mukilteo/Whidbey Island Ferry). Take Evergreen Way exit. Turn left (south) on Evergreen Way. At Casino Road turn right (west). Casino Road is the second light. Continue 1 mile to course on the left.

Walter Hall golf course is relatively flat and wide open. With very few hazards that come into play you'll find this course very friendly. However there is trouble out there, and that is our very large greens, which can be difficult to putt if your club selection is not accurate. You'll find Walter Hall golf course is a pleasure to play.

What's your biggest pet peeve? - MIKE COURY

That would have to be golfers who don't care about etiquette. These inconsiderate golfers do not care for the course and they don't respect others who use the course behind them. So often I see people littering the course with beer bottles everywhere, and damage greens without repairing them, they drive their carts on sensitive areas (like the greens) and recklessly drive the golf carts as to purposefully damage them. Some people just have no idea that they are to take care of the course and repair damage that they incur to the greens. I think a lesson from a PGA Professional would have a positive influence on a golfer from the start.
