UNFORGETTABLE

Hole #14 is a demanding downhill par 4 with a breathtaking view of Puget Sound. From the fairway on the second shot, the player will be in awe of the approach shot which is filled with hazards. A pond near the front of the green as well as three bunkers, left , rear, and right make for quite a challenging, yet beautiful hole.

TESTER

Hole #5 is a 452 yard par four. With a dogleg left fairway, and a narrow tree-lined landing area, the longer hitter will want to be careful of the water hazard beyond the dogleg. On the second shot, the player will be faced with a long iron to a large undulated green guarded on the right and rear by water and on the left by a large bunker.

DIRECTIONS

From I-5 take exit 111 and head north on Marvin Rd. Continue approx. 125 yards to Hogum Bay Rd. NE. Turn right and continue .3 miles to Meridian Campus entrance at Willamette Drive. Go 2.2 miles to the golf course.

Vicwood is a links style golf course with numerous views of the Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. The course presents a user friendly feel for the average player yet is very challenging for the lower handicapper. The views are spectacular and it is not uncommon to enjoy the sights with a few deer roaming the fairway or hawks and bald eagles soaring overhead.

How can players help new greens thrive? - MICHAEL PHILIPPART

Players can keep greens healthy if they remember to fix their ball marks when they "fly" a shot onto the green. If repaired immediately, the ball mark will heal within 24 hours. On the other hand, ball marks left un-repaired take over a week to repair themselves, especially on new greens.
