UNFORGETTABLE

Hole #14 is a short 384 yard par 4. The hole doglegs left, with water that keeps you company up the entire left side of the hole. Bunkers guard the right side, which puts a premium on a precise tee shot. The second shot is over water to an elevated two-tiered green. Any approach shot short and left will be adding one to the score.

TESTER

Hole #2 is only 333 yards in length. Don't let the length fool you though, there is lots of hidden trouble. Leave the driver in the bag this hole and take out an iron. The lake on the right is reachable so lay up left. Once you find the fairway, you're faced with a short second shot over water to a well bunkered green.

DIRECTIONS

Just north of Vancouver, Washington. Take I-5 to exit # 14 at Ridgefield. Go east on NW 269th to 11th Ave. Turn left and proceed to NW 299th and proceed to course on left.

Tri-Mountain is a links style golf course. This type of course looks wide open but can fool even the best players. The fairways and greens are well guarded with bunkers for those miscalculated shots and plenty of water if the player doesn't play prudently. Uneven lies also make a challenge out of the easiest approach shots. Once you reach the greens however, you'll find some of the finest around, which makes putting a pleasure.

What is commonly overlooked when hitting a chip or pitch from inside twenty yards? - CHUCK DASILVA

Everyone knows that they should always fix their ball marks after they reach the green. What golfers don't realize is that even with a chip or pitch inside twenty yards, the ball can still leave a depression or damage the green. These dents are often overlooked and will eventually turn the green bumpy. Even if you don't find your ball mark, try to fix one or two others around you. If you're experienced, encourage and educate upcoming golfers and we'll all be putting on smoother greens.
