UNFORGETTABLE
Hole # 18 is one of those great finishing holes in golf. This par 5 is a dogleg right with water down the right side. A prevailing wind from the south will keep you from getting lazy on the home stretch. If you can avoid the bunkers and the water, look out for the bottleneck landing area off the tee. If you can avoid the present obstacles, be happy with par.
TESTER
Hole # 17 is only 380 yards from the tips but is one tough short hole! The landing area is generous except for slicers that don't respect the pond. If you can avoid the pond you've got a second shot into a narrow green with a huge tree on the left and more water on the right. Stay focused!
DIRECTIONS
From I-5, take the Kent/Des Moines exit (#149) from north, (#149a) from south. After exiting the freeway travel east on Hwy 516 for 1 1/2 miles. At the base of the hill turn left on Meeker St. Travel 4 blocks to 18 hole facility on the left (north). |

| Riverbend golf course is relatively flat and wide open. The course seems to play longer due to ever-present swirling wind. The greens are always in good shape and difficult to read due to the subtle break. The back nine is the more demanding side, especially the last three holes where water is a big factor. Riverbend is a good test of golf that will earn your respect.
