UNFORGETTABLE

Hole #15 is a par 5 playing over 550 yards, the most discussed and cussed hole on the course. Ranked by many publications as the most difficult hole in Montana. Bordered by towering Cottonwoods, Mud Creek meanders through the middle of the hole splitting the fairway. After the tee shot the decision is to go left to a narrow opening between O.B. and the creek, or right with the creek and many more trees. It's a three shoter and most locals go right.

TESTER

The 10th hole is a 390 yard par 4. The tee shot should be hit 220-250 yards downhill to a blind landing area. Left is O.B. - right is worse, with O.B. and a federally protected wetlands hazard. Once the tee shot is negotiated, the second will test your nerve, as the green sits precariously just beyond the wetlands. Don't be short! For the short hitter there is access from the left, but the fairway narrows to 15 yards within the landing zone.

DIRECTIONS

From Highway 93 north or south, turn west at the lone stoplight in Ronan. From the stoplight its approx. 3 miles out on Round Butte Rd. Follow the signs or look for the green gem shining among the potato fields on your right.

Nestled on a 160-acre former spud farm, the topsoil runs deep allowing for perfect conditions to grow lush blue and bent grasses. A bad lie is rare and the greens putt true. If you do hit a bad shot, one look at the majestic Mission Mountains will calm your anxieties. The superb conditions of the course will delight all levels of players.

I need help with the "YIPS"! - MARLIN HANSON

Ever had the yips force you into a cold sweat over every 3-footer? The yips come from letting the hands and wrists control the putting stroke. Those small muscles want to guide the putter into the ball and hopefully steer the ball into the hole. Think of the putter, your hands, wrists, and arms as being one piece attached to your shoulders (big muscles). Let the shoulders lead and a stress-free stroke will follow.
