UNFORGETTABLE

Hole #13 plays 120-179 yards. This par 3 is all carry over a beautiful canyon with a creek at the bottom. This is an extremely intimidating short shot. The green is small and the shot to your target is narrow. Enjoy the view as you walk the bridge to your tee shot regardless of how you hit it.

TESTER

Hole #12 is a 340 yard par 4 that is relatively short. It has several difficult characteristics. It is a very tight driving hole to a blind landing area. It requires some length to get to the bottom of a steep slope in the fairway. The target putting green is not much bigger than a postage stamp and demands a high soft approach, plus there are two treacherous bunkers guarding all sides of the green.

DIRECTIONS

From I-5 north or south take exit #129 and head west 2.2 miles to Lakewood Street. Turn right on Lakewood and travel 100 yards to course on left.

Meadow Park opened its doors in 1917.This mature golf course plays longer than the yardage leads you to believe. With water, canyons and forests that come into play, you'll be on your toes constantly with this classic design. With mature and well kept greens, you'll appreciate the course knowledge that is required to score consistently at Meadow Park.

If you give one skill to your students, what would it be? - JEFF MEHLERT

To be able to relax before and during the golf swing. To accomplish this one must have a routine. The purpose of a routine is to become calm, focus, relax and gain confidence as they approach their shot. Keys to include in your routine are breathing, pick a target in the distance, one positive swing key and finally a decision of exactly what you want to have happen with the shot. The difference between pro's and amateurs as Curtis Strange explained to me is three things: "The putter, the wedge and the mental game". Invest some time into training your thoughts and you'll become a relaxed swinger too!
