UNFORGETTABLE
Lots of holes on this course will stand out in your mind, but #12 is the most photographed hole because there is a beautiful shot of Mt. Rainier in the background. It's a short par 4 with elevated tees and a dogleg right layout. There isn't a lot of room for error on this hole, either. Two precise irons will leave you a good birdie chance.
TESTER
Hole #5 is a short par 4 with plenty of obstacles. The tee shot requires a little of strategy to avoid a pond near the landing area. If you manage to avoid the water off the tee, a difficult approach shot awaits you. There is a sand bunker left of the green and wetlands in back and right of the green. A beautiful but tricky par 4.
DIRECTIONS
From I-5 north or south take Hwy 16. Follow signs to Bremerton. When you reach the Tacoma Narrows Bridge you will be heading north. Approx. 20 miles past the Narrows Bridge take Treemount/Old Clifton Road exit. Turn to the left and continue approx. 2 mile to course on your left. |

McCormick Woods is a very unique layout with no two holes adjoining each other. Winding through tree-lined fairways with undulating terrain, you'll see lots of wildlife and beautiful flowers. The course can play 7000 yards from the tips but with five sets of tees is playable for all levels of players.

| What's the #1 piece of advice heard given by other players? -
SCOTT ASHWORTH
Yes, that's right, "Keep your head down". In my mind, that's one of the worst pieces of advice ever given! Inevitably, golfers will bury their chin into their chest not giving them a chance to make any kind of shoulder turn. Golfers need to keep their chin up a little to give them a chance at making a nice full shoulder turn. They have a much better chance at hitting the ball consistently this way. So next time you see somebody top the ball, fight the urge to say "Keep your head down".
