UNFORGETTABLE
Hole #18 is a true 3-shot par 5. This finishing hole is a dogleg to the right that is bordered by the natural
Scotchbroom on the right and valley to the left. Make sure your tee shot is to the right, on the left there is a grass "dungeon" that will grab anything left of the landing area. Once you've played your second shot by the left fairway bunker, you've got a clear view of the green. The third shot is downhill to a beautiful green that is guarded by water on the right. Scotchbroom and Fir-trees border the backdrop, which makes this a classic finishing hole.
TESTER
Hole #3 is a tough 220 yard par 3. Right when you think you're starting off to a good round you hit this hole. The only thing that helps the length is that you're hitting downhill to a very large green. If you avoid the bunkers on the left and find yourself putting, don't fall victim to a three putt, lag close and get off with 3.
DIRECTIONS
From the Tacoma Narrows Bridge drive west on Hwy 16 to the Hwy 3 S. Airport/Belfair/Shelton exit (on the left side of the road. Follow until stoplight. Go straight ahead to West Belfair Valley Road. Turn left and go approximately 2 miles. Gold Mountain will be on the left. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes from the bridge. |

The Olympic course at Gold Mountain plays quite a bit longer than the Cascade course. Measuring over 7000 yards from the tips, you'll see why this is one of the toughest tracks in the state. Carved out of a thick forest of Douglas Firs and Pines, the Olympic course is well bunkered making this a shot makers course. Also very well maintained, you'll find the greens very fast and well undulated. This course is truly a great test of golf!
