UNFORGETTABLE
Desert Canyons 6th hole is the longest par 5 in the country, stretching out to 679 yards from the tips. Enjoy the view from the elevated tees and play driver to an iron from up here. Although shots hit down the left side can shorten the 3rd, the desert and canyon await errant shots. The safest play is toward the long fairway bunker on the right. Pine trees guard the green on the right side of the fairway. The 6th is difficult but breathtaking!
TESTER
The 7th hole requires good planning. It plays 576 to 301 yards depending on what tees you're playing. The tee shot should be left of the fairway trees to avoid the large bunker on the right. The second shot needs to stay short of a canyon in front of the green. The canyon is 217 yards from the trees in the center of the fairway. To carry the canyon you need to hit a 270 yard shot. There are two greens also. The green in front of the canyon is for players using the Lilac and Gold tees.
DIRECTIONS
From Seattle take I-90 eastbound to exit #85 at Cle Elum. Take Hwy 97 over Blewett Pass to Hwy 2 to Wenatchee. Take the underpass towards Spokane/Hwy 2 as you come into town. Cross over the bridge to the east side of the river. Turn left heading north on Hwy 97. Travel 25 miles north. Turn right onto Brags Road off Hwy 97. Follow the road uphill for 1.5 miles and take a right into the resort. |
