UNFORGETTABLE

Hole #9 is 596 yard par 5. This three-shot hole plays downhill into a landing area that doglegs slightly to the left with mounding on both sides of the fairway. The green is heavily guarded by water on the right, which allows few players to reach this green in two. The smart player, will lay up to have a short iron into the narrow entry to the front of this green.

TESTER

Hole #18 is 499 yard par 5 that doglegs severely to the left. A well hit drive down the left side of the fairway can reward the aggressive player with a long to mid-iron 2nd shot to the green. Fairway bunkers on both the left and right sides can prove disastrous to inaccurate players and create difficult approach shots to the green which is protected by water and sand bunkers in front, and deep sand and grass bunkers in back.

DIRECTIONS

From I-90 take I-82 to 182 east. Exit George Washington Way. Turn right at the first light and proceed to course.

What should a golfer focus on when playing a course for the 1st time? - JOE CREAGER

Golf is much more fun for all playing abilities when we maintain scores in our comfort zone. When playing a course for the first time, set yourself up for success by accepting the fact that you'll probably make more mental errors than normal. Expect from your performance the same strengths and weaknesses you play with at your home course. Keep focused on playing to your strengths and the shots you're good at. Never expect greatness. Create it! If your expectations go up, your scores will go up.
