UNFORGETTABLE

Hole #17 doesn't look hard if you look at the score card with 318 yards of length. However when you stand on the tee and see OB left and a long picturesque lake on the right, you might have second thoughts of hitting driver. Maneuver this hole safely with par and you'll be able to go for the reachable 18th with confidence.

TESTER

Hole #13 will have you seeing double. You see the green is a double green with #8. A fairly long tee ball is needed here, but you better be accurate. Both sides of the fairway are lined with tall trees. Once you reach the fairway safely don't hit the wrong green, you'll leave a long two-putt to save par.

DIRECTIONS

Take I-5 to exit 199. Go east to 67th and turn left. Go north for 1 mile to the golf course. Off of exit 200 go east to 67th and turn right. Go south two blocks to golf course.

Cedarcrest opened in 1927 and is best known for its tight fairways, tall trees and tricky greens. Playing 5800 yards in length you'd expect this course to play easy. Once you hit the greens though your flat stick better be working to master its undulations. Cedarcrest has recently been re-designed by John Steidel, who has done a wonderful job of bringing back the natural beauty and surroundings this course has to offer. You'll find that Cedarcrest is not only challenging but a pleasure to play.

What is one aspect of the game you'd like to see brought back? - DON SHAW

50 years ago this game of golf used to be a gentlemen's game. Of late I see more swearing, anger, throwing of clubs and just poor manners. I'd like to see more sportsmanship brought back into the game. I'd like to see more golfers learning the history of the game and its etiquette. Let's bring golf back to the game of kings it once was and the values that this great game stands for.
