UNFORGETTABLE

The 17th hole is an island green par 3 ranging from 110 to 195 yards. It is called the "Apple Island" for it is shaped like an apple with a leaf bunker and a bridge for the stem. The elevated tee shot gives a spectacular view to the hole and a view of the vast amount of water surrounding the green making the shot more intimidating.

TESTER

The 7th hole is a short par 4 measuring only 362 yards in length from the back tees. After a good tee shot you are left with a short iron over water to a very narrow green. Out of bounds lurks behind the green to grab any balls that go long while trying to protect going short. Club selection must be an accurate one!

DIRECTIONS

From Seattle, take the Naches/White Pass Freeway exit and then the 40th Ave. exit. Drive on 40th south to Washington, then west to 64th Ave. Turn west on Occidental and continue to course.

Apple Tree Golf Course is a championship style layout with generous landing areas and large greens. With water coming into play on 14 holes and plenty of bunkers, you'll find Apple Tree a challenge for any skill level. There are also five sets of tees to accommodate the expert or even the novice golfer.

How can you chip more consistently? - TODD CAPPS

Use your putting grip (except cross-handed) to insure that your wrists don't break down during the stroke. Play the ball a little back of center and open your stance to let your arms swing freely toward the target. Visualize where you want the ball to land and then run to the hole. Keep your weight a little more on your front foot and brush the ball off the grass for good contact.
